Well, I think I'd be afraid of laser eye surgury period - whether it be cheap or expensive (although I suppose if one were to lose ones eyesight due to a laser mishap, one would rather have paid less for said mishap).
I got a 'promotional' email pitching lasik for 300$ an eye. That is just scary
