Doing a google image search for 'dead dry newt' does not bring up pictures of amphibians that have been lost from aquaria, only to be found under the couch three months later. It pulls up many many head shots of Newt Gingrich.
Yes, yes, that's all very nice... But the question remains; why that phrase? Is this for a fascinating lecture? I think you're supposed to be teaching them to do DISECTION not Dessication!

You would not believe the weird pictures I come across while making lectures. I should start saving them into an album...
